For many professionals, moving from a large organisation to a smaller, fast-paced company is a bold step &mdash; but for Rachael Garvey, it was the opportunity she was looking for.

Briefly describe your professional journey leading up to this point.
My first job was as a retail assistant at 16, and then after my A-levels, I moved into hospitality, working in a local pub, which I loved. I worked during the summer holidays and over Christmas when I would come home from university. At university, I worked at the student union, mainly during their club nights, which was also lots of fun.
What motivated you to pursue a role in our company?
This is my first role after graduating from university, and I wanted to try something different and completely out of my comfort zone. When I saw Insight and all their perks, as well as their company values and support, I decided it would be a great role for me.
Company Connection:
What aspects of our company culture or values resonated with you during the application process?
I definitely loved the supportive culture surrounding Insight. The people have been nothing but nice and helpful from the start of my application process, especially Rachael, who first introduced me to Insight. Now, being a member of the Insight team, I see the commitment to supplying me with the tools, industry knowledge, and confidence to be successful as a recruiter.
How do you envision contributing to our company's mission of Empowering Sustainable Growth?
I believe my psychology background and previous experience in customer-facing roles will allow me to build crucial relationships with both candidates and clients. My determination will ensure I stay focused throughout the whole process, from sourcing to placing and beyond. This is especially relevant as I am helping Insight expand into the US Mission Critical Space, so empowering both candidates and clients, whether through regular check-ins or understanding everyone&rsquo;s unique experience, will be very important.

What is your market focus at Insight and why is your market focus exciting to you?
My market focus is mission-critical facilities in the USA, mainly focusing on senior roles in data centre construction. The data centre market is exciting to me as it is a rapidly growing industry in this digital age, and the size of some of these projects and how quickly they can be completed is truly mind-blowing.
What skills or experiences do you bring that you believe will be particularly beneficial?
My undergraduate degree in Psychology will help me understand individuals and their various motivations, which is especially important in recruitment to place candidates successfully in roles they will stay in. Additionally, all my previous work experience has centred around customers, both sales-wise and ensuring their experience is the best it possibly can be. So I am definitely used to listening to others' wishes and making them my priority in my work.
Preferred Learning Style:
Describe how you prefer to learn and grow professionally. Are you more of a hands-on learner, or do you thrive in structured training environments?
I would say I am more of a hands-on, visual learner. I definitely prefer to get stuck in and learn on the job rather than engaging in structured training. However, I think a good mix of both is needed for me to be successful in the learning process.

I have a very varied music taste. I&rsquo;d say that any song that can get me up and dancing is a great motivator, but my current favourite is "Right Here" by Becky Hill.

An interesting fact about me is that I once went backstage at a Liam Gallagher concert and sat in his personal box at the Manchester Arena. Another is that Billie Eilish once ran in front of me!

I think my spirit animal would be a deer, as they are both gentle and determined and always trust their intuition. Not to mention, they&rsquo;re beautiful!

I am a Recruitment Consultant specialising in hiring React developers on both short or long term contracts with businesses across the South of England. I work with Front-end, Full-stack &amp; also Back-end developers, helping them secure roles at some of the largest corporations in the UK. I also work with smaller start-up companies that require developers to help with their business needs.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Why are you excited to work within this market?
My market is very fast-paced &amp; competitive, which is something I thrive off. The React market is also very up and coming, with companies having a high demand for developers experienced in React.&nbsp;
What&rsquo;s your background?
I have a sporty background and was a personal trainer for several years. After Covid, I decided to change my career path and went into the world of recruitment. Over the last year, I have been working in Education Recruitment, working with numerous multi-academy trusts recruiting teachers and support staff across London.&nbsp;

My main reason for joining Insight was the clear &amp; structured progression plan from Recruitment Consultant all the way to Senior Director level. I also wanted to join a big team of likeminded professionals who have the same drive for success as I do.&nbsp;

Over the previous 2 years Insight have established themselves as a key supplier to worldwide Mission Critical markets and many Owners, Clients, Consultancies, GC&rsquo;s and Subcontractors.
Rapid growth and success has been due to deep talent networks within our consultants market specialisms covering cradle to grave project builds along with a 1st&nbsp;in class service offering compliant payroll solutions for over 97 countries worldwide.
With 9 quarters financial growth, an average of 3.6 placements per clients and doubling our contractor output year on year our footprint has grown from UK&amp;I to more than 60% of placements made in EMEA and undertaking our first placements in the USA recently.
A business is only as good as it&rsquo;s people and it&rsquo;s been a pleasure seeing team more than double in the last 12 months with multiple promotions from trainees through to management positions. To continue growing and serving our sector Insight are now looking for 5 new contract and permanent hires to join the business, bringing with them a service first mindset and a willingness to learn how to develop and deliver a best in class proposition to market. Having worked in Engineering contract recruitment would be ideal although previous B2B sales would be sufficient as we can provide you with the training to succeed with the right aptitude and attitude to do so.
With future plans to take out brand throughout the US and into APAC international travel and working opportunities are available for those looking to join a business to grow and shape a career shaping and supporting a new world of engineering in the Mission Critical Sector.

Why are you excited to work within this market?
Being able to work in the US market at Insight is something that really excites me, largely because of the opportunity for growth in this vast and relatively new market. I like being able to be a part of the evolution of this side of the company and play a role in the development, I find this really motivating.
What&rsquo;s your background?
I have only just started my career in recruitment after completing my master&rsquo;s in computational genetics. I have always had a love for data analytics and coding evidenced by my educational history, however I quickly realised my passion for being around people and for working with ambitious, likeminded people was most important to me.
When I came across tech recruitment I realised it was the perfect career for me as it allows me to combine my personal drive and communication skills, whilst still allowing me to &lsquo;talk tech&rsquo; and further educate myself within the field.

What&rsquo;s your background?
I have a 6 years of experience in recruitment &amp; have specialised in IT delivery and account management my whole career. I bring plenty of expertise to Insight as I have previously looked after the delivery of up to 400 hires in a year on big accounts. I also have great relationship building skills &amp; a solid understanding of an entire MSP/RPO solution.&nbsp;
Why did you join Insight?
The progression within the role appealed to me massively. Progression is to lead the client solutions team in a new direction with a focus more on account development and growth.
